Rita Richard, 87, wife of the late Dosithé Richard, of Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, formerly of Petit-Cap, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the home. Born January 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Amanda (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She is survived by her ten children: Albert (Brenda), Ovila, Donald (Rebecca), Reginald, Danny (Cathy), Anna, Annette (Aris Jacob), Mona (Mitchell Cameron), Pauline (Gary Jacob), Brian (Josie); two brothers: René and Léo (Aline); a sister, Anna (Lewis Reynolds); 20 grandchildren , and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also predeceased by a son, Roger; her two brothers: Albert and Philippe, and a grand-daughter, Bonnie Jacob.
The family will receive condolences Tuesday, April 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funérarium Frenette, 2467 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Thimothé R.C. Church, Shemogue, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
