Frank Staples

Francis ‘Frank’ Staples of Gander passed on August 19, 2017 at his home in Arnprior, Ontario after a brief and courageous battle with cancer in his 65th year. Frank will be missed by his wife Maggie and always loved by his children Giles Staples, Corwin Staples and Robin Giles (Andre Laprairie). Frank was a very proud ‘Grampa’ of his precious granddaughter Frazetta. Frank is predeceased by his parents Corwin and Violet Staples of Gander and always enjoyed his fishing days at Deadman’s Pond with his father and also with their good friend Hiram Keeping. Frank was an avid photographer and had a unique talent for capturing hidden gems in nature. He will be sadly missed but remembered fondly by his cousins Edith Blanchard (Richard), John Staple (Jeanie) and Libby Smith (Gary) all formerly of Gander and Fred Woolfrey (Claire) of Ottawa as well as his special Aunt ‘Dot’ Georgina Woolfrey also of Ottawa.
