It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Marie Melanson, age 70 of River Hebert on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Amherst, Donna was a daughter of Isabel (nee Hoeg) (Henwood) Miller and the late Ernest Henwood.
Donna enjoyed playing t.v. bingo and had a love for painting. She was most proud of raising her children and always loved and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ralph; children, Dale (Sabrina), Laurie (Margie) and Lisa (Ward) McIver; beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Dakota, Jacqlyn, Jenna, and Brent; great granddaughter, Sarah; sisters, Mary (Bill) LeBLanc, Jean (Arthur) Reid, Flora (Cletus) Doucet and Jean Hoeg-Joel (Henry Burke); half siblings, Lori (Kirk) Peebles, Anne Baker, Ronnie (Becky), Steven (Bonnie), Sandra (Mike) Parsons, and Cindy DesRoche; as well as many nieces, nephews and best friend, Glenda.
Donna was predeceased by her son, Rodney; step father, James Fred Miller; brothers, Mannie and Earl; sister, Hazel Wilson.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906 from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Phil Thibodeau officiating.
Donna will be laid to rest in the Ragged Reef Cemetery at a later date.
