Passed peacefully away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in the presence of her loving family at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Kathleen Horwood at the age of 82. Predeceased by her parents William and Eileen Squires, infant daughter Madonna and sister Wilhelmina Evans. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband and the love of her life, Eric; her six children: Kay McGrath (John), Diane Horwood (Paul O'Neill), Brendan (Janice), Christine Hancock (Bill), Susan Dunn (Tony) and Stephanie Horwood (Fred Reinthaler); cherished grandchildren: Lisa, Eric, Megan, Riley, Adam, Lili and Sophie; five great-grandchildren Sarah, Caitlin, Reid, Jack, Margaret and one great-great-grandchild Maci. Also grieving their loss are brother-in-law Jack Evans; sisters: Sheila Critch (Roy, deceased), Patsy Connolly (Wayne), Dixie Stone (Wayne) Connie Bragg (Randy) and brother Billy (Carol-Ann); her sisters-in-law Patricia Horwood, Barbara Hall and Joan Bambrick (John); brother-in-law Gerald Horwood; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Kathleen will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She always had a song in her heart and a kind word for everyone. Her life revolved around her cherished family. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care and compassion they provided to Kathleen and her family during this difficult time. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 12-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul's Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Society or to the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit.
