At his home on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, after a short battle with cancer, of Sterling Spenser Ings, Cherry Valley, age 89 years. Dear father of Janet MacPherson (Herb), Hunter River; Sherrill Ings, Sherwood; and Cynthia Ings, Grande Prairie, Alberta. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Spenser MacPherson, Sherwood; Bruce MacPherson (Laura), Sherwood; Derek (Lisa), Calgary; and by his six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Bethany, Stirling, Mirko, Brayden and Parker. Brother of Dorothy Sullivan and brother-in-law of Wanda Ings. Predeceased by his wife, Katherine (nee MacPherson); by his son, Dwain; by his brother, Maurice; by his sister, Hazel Breedon; and by his brother-in-law, Louis Sullivan. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday from Christ Church, Cherry Valley at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Christ Church Cemetery Fund.
