With broken hearts the family of Douglas Sorrie, age 84, beloved husband of 59 years to Myrna (Kemp) Sorrie, announces his passing at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with family by his side on Friday, September 1, 2017. Born in Sturgeon on January 31, 1933, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Wight) Sorrie. Doug will be missed by his loving children, Craig Sorrie (Diane), Kim MacKinnon (Bill); cherished grandchildren, Kyle and Marc Sorrie, Joel MacDonald (Angie); step grandson Devin MacKinnon; great grandson Reimer MacDonald; sisters-in-law Ethel Sorrie, Mary Kemp; brother-in-law Lloyd Westaway. He was predeceased by brother Sterling Sorrie and sister Catherine Westaway; granddaughter Kaylee. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, Montague. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, September 5th at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in the Sturgeon Community Cemetery.
