Helen Jennings

It is with deep sadness the family of Helen Jennings announces her passing in her 100th year at York Care Centre in Fredericton on April 17, 2011 with her daughter by her side. Born October 3, 1911, Helen was the only child of the late Ruth (McLellan) and William Chapman. Helen spent most of her life in Woodstock, moving to Fredericton in 1995 to be near her daughter, Jean. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Woodstock United Baptist Church where she spent many years singing in the choir, and was a member of various church groups. Helen is survived by her son, Bill and his wife Barbara (Brewer) of Moncton; daughter Jean and her husband John Johnston of Fredericton; son-in-law John Graham (late Ann Jennings) of Mississauga, Ontario; grandsons Scott Jennings (Tracy); Brian Jennings (Crystal); Ken Graham (Linda); and granddaughter Allyson Bingeman (Mark); step-grandchildren Stephanie and Corey Johnston, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Jennings, her daughter Ann Graham, grandsons Richard and Michael Graham, and great-grandson Caleb Bingeman. Visitation and funeral will be held at Scott Funeral Home 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating. With visitation on Wednesday, April 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 2 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date. Many thanks to the caring staff at York Care Centre for their love and support of Helen until her passing. Their care and support will never be forgotten.
