“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories”. Peacefully at The Colville Manor, on Monday, September 4, 2017 of Harold Valentine Thompson in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 64 years of Catherine “Kit” (O’Hanley). Proud father of Danny (Linda), Cathy MacKinnon (Billy), Gene (Wanda), Lynn MacInnis and Robbie (Barbie). Much loved and very proud Grandpa/Popie to Jim, Jacki, Coralee, Joelyne, Erin, Jenny, Amanda, Emily, Cody, Hayley, Kate, and Jesse; 22 great-grandchildren, and special niece Veronica Thompson. He is also survived by his sister Mary Jay (Kenny; deceased), and brother John (Marie). Predeceased by his parents Harry and Veronica (Goodfellow); siblings Henry (Hilda; deceased), Jerome (Frances; deceased), Joseph (Josephine and Mary; deceased), Melvina, Vernon, Sexton and Wilfred, and his son-in-law Ronnie MacDonald. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Bernie Lewis, and his brothers-in-law B.J. O’Hanley (Pauline), Desmond O’Hanley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Dr. Roddie Community Centre, St. Peter’s Bay for visiting hours on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Peter’s Bay Roman Catholic Church on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. If so desired, donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the activity department of the Colville Manor. www.dingwellfh.ca
