John Louis (Lou) Cantwell
Card of Thanks
John Louis (Lou) Cantwell
We, the family of the late Lou Cantwell, would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who enjoyed Lou’s life with him, who offered comfort, care and prayers to him/our family throughout his life-long illness and, following Lou’s passing, who provided expressions of love and kindness. Throughout his life Lou received exceptional care. A special thank you is extended to Drs. P. Hickey, P. Smith and J. Ritter and the Palliative Care Staff. Lou lived life as best as he could because of you. To Community Services Home Care, New Dawn Services, VON, private care workers, and the Nursing/Support Staff on 5E and the Palliative Care Volunteers at the NSG Hospital, our sincere appreciation for providing outstanding care with respect and dignity. Thank you to all who acknowledged Lou through gifts of food, cards, donations, floral tributes, telephone calls, texts, emails and visits. Our family was overwhelmed by the number of people who attended Lou’s funeral, especially those who traveled to be with us. A tribute to Lou and your thoughtfulness will always be remembered. Thank you to Holy Family Parish Community, Fr. J. Oliver, Deacon G. Murphy, and the CWL. Your prayers, calls, and visits were sincerely appreciated. A special thank you to Fr. J.J. MacDonald. You were Lou’s friend and strength. The message expressed in your beautiful homily reflected your relationship with Lou and our family. Our deepest thanks to everyone who participated in Lou’s Funeral Mass and reception, especially the Funeral Reception Committee. To Manning Jobes and staff at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, thank you for your professionalism, sincere kindness and support. Lou was blessed with several friends in his life, but especially two friends who the family will always remember. Danny MacNeil was Lou’s best bud, sharing an enduring friendship. Thank you for always being a support to Lou and our family. Lou enjoyed his summer visits to your “Camp Happy,” a place where Lou was most relaxed and many memories were made. To David (T) Taylor, thanks for being friend and support to Lou and us. We know you and Lou had great times together. Lou was extremely fortunate to have so many wonderful people in his life. God Bless you all!
