Peacefully with her family by her side at the home of her daughter in Rustico on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 of Stella M. Gavin (nee Shea) of Charlottetown and formerly of Tignish, age 80 years. Dear mother of Carrie (Walter) MacQuarrie, Rustico, Sharon (Andy) Shea, Charlottetown, Charlene Gavin, Summerside, Wanda (Percy) Henry, Charlottetown, Rose Dennis, Summerside. Dearest nannie to Elaine, Trevis, Jason, Cecil, Jolene, Shaun, Melinda, Carrie-Anne, Joey, Amry, Harold, Nick, Mark, Wayne, Stella, Colton, J.R., Kassie, Andy and Stella; 52 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter Isabelle; brothers and sisters, Shirley Ellsworth, Margaret Albert, Sherren (Clarence) Arsenault, Betty Ann Arrigoni and Lorne Powers; special niece Colleen Swim; daughter-in-law Joyce Gavin, aunt Hazel and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Helena (nee Villard) Shea; sons, Harold and Floyd Gavin; Grandsons, Floyd MacQuarrie and Lukas Gavin; great grandson, Owen Gallant; son-in-law, Vernon Dennis; sister, Sheila Power; brother, John Shea; brothers-in-law Pius Ellsworth, Roy Albert and Carl Arrigoni. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, September 16 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Parish Cemetery.
