DOUCETTE, Evelyn Marie – Age 88, of Hubbard’s Point, passed away on Friday, September 15th, 2017 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on February 22nd, 1929 in Surette’s Island, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Pierre and Anne (Doucette) Fitzgerald. She is survived by her children, Marie (Ben) and Pierre (Gwen) Doucette, both of Hubbard’s Point; grandchildren, Sandra, Darren and Allan; great grandchildren, Bradon, Hailey, Jacqueline and Fallon. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Doucette; brothers, Wilfred, Bernie, Clovis, Tony and Leonard; sisters, Flora, Celestine and Laurine. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, September 18th, with prayers at 8 p.m. in the funeral home in Yarmouth. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday from Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-de-Ruisseau, Father Albenie d’Entremont officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
