Howard John Rendell, passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, L. A. Miller Centre in St. John's. He was in his 85th year. He is predeceased by his wife Marie (nee Bishop); parents Corbett Rendell and Laura Rendell (nee, Cobb); brothers George, Corbett and Gerald; sisters Stella, Lorna, Gwen, Millicent, Frances and Jean. He leaves to mourn sons Howard (Clara) and Scott (Karen), grandchildren: Maria (Ian), Sarah Dillon (Matt) and Catherine; his brother Ron (Jean), sisters-in-law Gertrude Rendell, Edna Evans, Ingaretha Bishop, Shirley Bishop; special friends Sadie Kirby and Cal and Louise LeGrow, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. We are deeply grateful to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their care and support in the last weeks. Visitation to take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and Sunday, September 17, 2017 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place from Cowan Heights United on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
