Word has been received by relatives in Sydney of the death of Ernest Thompson of Charlo, NB.
Ernie died at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the age of 62.
Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late Simon and Emma Thompson. Ernie was a graduate in civil engineering at the University of New Brunswick, he was employed for 12 years at NB Power and then worked another 12 years for N.B.I.P.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Barbara (Theuerkauf, formerly of Sydney); daughter, Kim Thompson of Charlo; son, Andrew of Calgary; grandson, Oliver; brothers, Eric, Paul and Carl; sisters, Roselyn and Lisa Thompson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held August 12, 2009 in Dalhousie, NB. Burial will take place in Charlo.
