Born March 18, 1920 in Brandon, Manitoba and passed away April 18, 2011 at Delta View Life Enrichment Centre.

Betty grew up in Port Arthur, Ontario and moved to New Westminster as a young adult and then to Calgary once she married Axel William (Bill) Nelson in 1943.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1989 in Kamloops where they had retired, and also by her daughter Beverley in 2010.

Betty is survived by her sister Shirley Munkacsi and her niece Patti (Steve) in Kamloops, her daughter Barb Nelson (Jack Davidson) in Surrey and her granddaughter Melanie Gushue (John) in Maple Ridge and three grandchildren.
