Garth Richard Lanceleve
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Garth Lanceleve announce his passing in Mira on September 25th, 2017. He was the son of Maurice and Marion Lanceleve.
Garth spent a number of years working in Alberta, but Mira was his home. He was an avid sports fan with a passion for golf. He was known for having strong beliefs, and Rick Mercer style rants. Most importantly, he was known for living his life to the absolute fullest.
Garth is survived by life partner, Shelly Reid; sons, Devin (Melissa), Chad (Suzie) and Tyler (RaeLynn); daughter, Jenna Reid, as well as grandchildren, Connor, Lucas, Lila, CJ and Jordyn. He is also survived by sisters, Farren, Verna (Keith Vacheresse), Bonnie Woodworth (Bert Morrison) and Cindy (John Planetta), and brothers, Robert (Gee) and Grant. He will also be missed by his nephew and ‘left-arm’, Kyle Aucoin, as well many other nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Besides his parents, Garth was predeceased by his brother, David, and a brother in infancy.
No Visitation. A Celebration of Garth’s Life will take place Thursday, September 28 at 6 p.m. at the Mira Boat Club in Albert Bridge, with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate. Reception with the family to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre.
