Passed peacefully away at the P.C.U., Miller Centre on Tuesday, October 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, Anita LeDrew, age 77 years. Predeceased by her sisters: Helen and Pauline. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories her devoted husband of 59 years George; her cherished daughter Marilyn (Glen) Penney; grandchildren: Sara (Dylan) and Glenn (Stephanie); great-grandchildren: Amelia, Dominic and Mason; sister Linda (Jeff) Crawford; brother Robert (Monica); special niece Salem; uncle Charl Sparkes (Betty); aunts: June MacDonald and Lillian Sparkes; brothers-in-law: Ronald (Joanne) and Frank (Lorna); nephews: Ronald (Lynn), Chris (Michelle) and Andrew (Sharon); special friends: Sybil Hillier and Peggy Fowler; cousin and friend Eileen Shanks; her furry companion Toby who never left her side; as well many other relatives and friends. At Anita's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Mount Pearl Chapel on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date.
