Beverlee Anne  Allen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Beverlee Anne Allen of Moncton following a period of failing health. Bev was 61 and died peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, September 4, 2017, with her brother and sister by her side.
Born in Sackville, Bev was the daughter of the late Edwin (Ted) and Helen (Wall) Allen of Malden. She started an early career in the investment and securities field directly out of high school in 1974 with Richardson Greenshields in Charlottetown, PE. She remained in that field for a number of years while living in Charlottetown, Dartmouth, and Riverview. Until her retirement in 2010, Bev worked as a caregiver for a few years with a couple agencies in the Moncton area.
Bev is survived by her loyal partner of 16 years, Kenneth Steeves; her brother Edward (Terrlynn) of Malden and her sisters Wendy Jean Daly, Murray Harbour, PE; Carolyn Wood, Port Elgin; Margaret (Alden) Geldart, Lewis Mountain; and Velvet (Brian) Allen-Burns, Upper Cape.
She was a much-loved Aunt Bevee to and will be dearly missed by her nieces Carla Geldart, Lincoln; Karie Allen and her family, Dartmouth, NS; Priscilla Burns, Upper Cape/Oshawa, ON. Aunt Bev will be fondly remembered by nephews Michael Geldart, Billerica, MA, US; Kevin Wood, Sackville; Martin Daly, Moncton; Kris Wood, Moncton; Jonathan Allen, Baie Verte; Linton Geldart, Fredericton; Craig Allen, Upper Sackville, NS; Jason Watson, Saint John; Ryan Allen, Charlottetown, PE; Jeremy Watson, Riverview; Brison Burns, Upper Cape and their families
Besides her parents, Bev was predeceased by a sister, Della Watson, and a niece Dayna Daly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Care and Guidance of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-538-2241). Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bev’s life will take place during Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday, October 7, 2 pm, at the funeral home in Sackville followed by a time of fellowship and sharing memories of Bev.
If you wish, donations in memory of Bev may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery, New Brunswick Lung Association, Greater Moncton SPCA, or the charity of your choice.
We want to gratefully acknowledge the care and kindness provided to Bev over the past seven years during her stay at Residence McDougall in Moncton. Thank you to all staff for your devoted attention to Bev while she lived there.
