At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, October 2, 2017 Alfreda (Freda) G. Aitken, age 88, of Montague went to her eternal rest. Born March 22, 1929 in Lower Montague, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Parker) Aitken. Freda is survived by her brother, Albert Aitken; sister-in-law Marjorie Aitken; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Helen (Archie) Wight and Mary (Tom) Notting; brothers Charles (Alberta), Fred, Parker (Margaret), James (Margaret); sister-in-law Markie Aitken. Freda was an RN and loved what she did helping others, spending her career in the Toronto area. Upon her retirement at age 62, she returned home to P.E.I. and enjoyed many happy times with family, friends and her adored dog, Denver By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
