Arthur Garfield (Garry) Mann, 68, of Glace Bay, NS, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 in Sydney Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Horace and Monica (Nearing) Mann.
Garry was a graduate of Morrison High School and had a great interest in photography and reading. He was a gentle man who led a very quiet life and enjoyed taking long walks around Glace Bay until a physical handicap prevented him from continuing this pastime.
Survived by his sister, Elizabeth Smith (Roy); nephews, Jason (Jennifer) Smith and Kyle Smith, Halifax, NS; nieces, Gee Lanceleve (Robert), Albert Bridge, NS and Crystal Mann, Hanneytown, NB; sister-in-law, Pauline Mann, NB, and numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Predeceased by parents and brothers, Joseph (Joey) Mann, Aubrey Mann, and nephew, Joseph (Joey) Stephen Mann.
Cremation has taken place and interment will be with his parents in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Patten's Funeral Home, Glace Bay, NS.
A special thank-you to the doctors and nurses on Floor 4C of Sydney Regional Hospital for the professional and compassionate care they provided. A heartfelt thank-you also to his niece Gee and her husband Robert who were always there to help Garry when needed.
