Sheila (MacLeod) Petrie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt at the New Waterford Hospital on Oct. 5, 2017. Born April 21, 1947, in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late William ‘Dick’ and Victoria ‘Nellie’ Bishop McLeod.
She is survived by sons, Billy (Lisa), Halifax, Bradley (Shauna), Sydney; daughter, Donna (Cory MacKinnon), |Ontario; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and three extended grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Susan (George) Campbell; brothers, Alex (Delphine), Ernie (Emma), New Waterford; sister, Rose (Jim) Funderburke, North Carolina; brothers, Fred (Ella), Ken (Diana), George (Mary), all of Ontario; nieces and nephews and her best friends, Sandra Varrence and Agnes Romeo. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Geneva, brother, William ‘Chubby’ McLeod.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Leonard’s Church.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who cared for me throughout my illness.
Sheila’s kindness will live among us forever.
