SAULNIER, Adele Marie – age 102. Adele passed away at Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle on Monday, October 9, 2017. She was born November 21, 1914 in Pinkney’s Point to Albert and Madeleine Saulnier as one of 12 children and lived in Pinkney’s Point her entire life until she went to the Home for Special Care. In 1932 she married Enos Saulnier and devoted the remainder of her life to him and to her family. Though somewhat frail and unassuming, she possessed an inner strength which carried her through all the years and tribulations of losing many family members. Her life was not only marked by her longevity but also by her loving and caring nature, especially towards her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Louella LeBlanc, Massachusetts; daughters, Geraldine (Gilbert – Veteran’s Place, Yarmouth) Pothier, Pinkney’s Point; Ruth Doucette, Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle; Florence (Leroy) Legere, Pinkney’s Point and daughter-in-law, Wendy Saulnier, Yarmouth, as well as 19 grandchildren who knew her affectionately as Nanny or Grammy, 32 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Enos; sons, Clifford, Joseph and Elize; grandchild, Michael Saulnier; daughters-in-law, Betty (Clifford) Saulnier and Elizabeth (Elize) Saulnier and son-in-law, Victor (Ruth) Doucette. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, with prayers at 8:00 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St. Yarmouth. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 13 from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Melbourne, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the St. Raphael Cemetery, Pinkney’s Point.
