Born in Badger on April 28, 1923, he attended school in the rail cars in Badger as well. Despite being legally blind, he worked in the woods, at the base in Argentia, at the Cement Plant in Corner Brook, did electrical work and sold odds and ends door to door to make ends meet and support his family. In later years, he worked at CNIB in Corner Brook until he retired. He loved fishing and trips into El pond with friends and family. We wish to thank the staff at the Bayshore Estates and the nurses at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for the care given to our father over the past year. At Marcus's request, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 7 to 9pm. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
