James (Jim) Edward Antosh, age 76, was surrounded by family when he passed away peacefully in Kamloops, BC on September 3, 2017. Jim was born on October 29, 1940 in Squamish, BC where he spent most of his life. He is predeceased by his parents, Ed and Vi Antosh; and survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alberta (Bert); his three sons and their wives Glen and Maria Antosh, Joe and Nancy Antosh; and Cory and Jenny Antosh; and six grandchildren Teri, Lisa (Adam), Chadd, Cody (Robyn), Ryan, and Megan. After a 43-year career with BC Rail (Squamish), Jim and Bert decided to move to the Cariboo and build their dream home on Watch Lake where they enjoyed retirement together in the BC outdoors. Jim could always be found busy around the house fixing or building something because he always felt the 'job' was never quite done. He had many fond memories of the friendships he forged over the years at work, playing sports, or doing outdoor activities (hunting and fishing). Jim / Dad / Papa - we will always cherish the memories you gave us, and you will be sincerely missed forever. Respecting Jim's wishes there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association or the Vascular Department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.
