R. Alton ‘Al’ Fraser of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Boston.
Alton was born in Reserve Mines, N.S., in 1933, died in St. Petersburg on April 20, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geri (Clark) and two daughters, Lynn Oliver (John) of Boston and Leslie St. Cyr of Dedham. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ryan Oliver of Boston, Katelyn and Brian St. Cyr of Dedham. Brother of Alex and Burt Fraser.
Al was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary Fraser and sisters, Isabell King, Olive Vingar and brother, Sonny Fraser.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alton is also survived by two very special cousins, Ave McEachern Kenney (Bob) of No Easton and Colleen McEachern McLean of Westwood.
A memorial service was held at his MHP, Victory Estates, in St. Petersburg on Monday, April 25, 2011, at 2 p.m. Wake will be held Thursday, April 28 from 4-8 p.m. at Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury. Funeral mass will be held at St. John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington St., West Roxbury at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011.
