The death occurred suddenly, on Sunday, August 9, 2009, of Blair Gallant, of Russell Street, Summerside, aged 61 years. Born in O’Leary, he was the son of Phoebe (Gallant) Gallant, Summerside, and the late John “Jack” Gallant. Survived by his wife Olivene (Burch) Gallant; children, Monica (Kevin) MacRae, Jodi (Chad) Yeo, Darren (Kim), Nathan (Carrie Paynter); grandchildren Travis, Kayla, Jarett, Taylor, Kelsey, Logan, Landon, Heidi and Clay; great-grandchildren Hayden and Madison; his special little man Drake; brothers and sisters Ivan (Shirley), Louis (Janet), Myrna McNally, Wayne (Sherry), Peter (Darlene), Janet (Jerry) Tourout, Catherine (Bob) Graham; sister-in-law Susan Gallant; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Jeremy Tyler MacRae; brother Frank Gallant; and by a sister Karen Gallant. Forwarded from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to the Salvation Army Church, 299 Pope Road, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening , at the Salvation Army Church, from 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
