Passed peacefully away on Friday, October 27, 2017, Garland Douglas "Doug" Gordon James Green at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Melvin Green, Wanda (Chris) Ryan, Holley (Danny) Simmonds and Garland (Sheila) Green; grandchildren: Krista (Daryl) Green-Short, Mark (Marcelene) Ryan, Greg Green, Mitchell Green, Paul Colson, Brandon Colson, Michael Skeard and Kerry Skeard; great-grandchildren: Cameron Green, Kaylee LaBoeuf, Ally Hartwick-Green, Greg Green Jr., Carrington Ryan, Channing Ryan, Charisse Ryan, Thomas Skeard, Jimmy Skeard and Karla Skeard; sisters: Mary Chaisson, Winnie (Len) Howell, May (Gordon) Holley and Ruth (Neville) Turner; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alice Green (nee Holley), grandson Garland Paul Ryan, daughter-in-law Nancy Brake-Green, brother Ralph Green and sister Rose (Charles) Mills. In keeping with Doug's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from All saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
