Passed peacefully away Sunday, October 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Edith (Burrage) Parrell. Born in New Perlican, Trinity Bay April 16, 1926 to her late parents Margaret (Rodgers) and Edgar Burrage. Gone to join her loving husband of 58 years, Leo. Predeceased by her husband Leo (October 2015), sisters Beatrice and Violet and her brother Harrison. In-laws, Lawrence and Agatha Parrell and deceased members of the Parrell family. Leaving to mourn loving daughters Sheila Maher (Gerard), Paula Corbett (Roger) and Louise Pinhorn (Mark deceased), sons Christopher (Heather) and Paul (Janet). Cherished grandchildren Beverly, Robin, Curtis, Kevin, Jason, Stephanie, Cassandra and Amy. Great-grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Helen (Melvin Maidment), Jenny (George Earle) and Marg (Victor Piercey), brother-in-law Pat (Georgie) Parrell. As well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She will always be remembered for her kind and gentle heart and dedication to her family by whom she will be very sadly missed. The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Management and Staff of the Agnes Pratt Home, especially Stella Burry Place, whose professional and dedicated caregiving is unparalleled and worthy of our sincere appreciation. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Agnes Pratt Foundation.
