Lorraine Peterson passed away with family by her side on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. She was born in Hazenmore, SK on Nov. 17, 1927 to Carl and Mamie Sonne. Lorraine moved out west and raised 5 children in BC. She came back to Saskatchewan and settled in Moose Jaw where she spent the remainder of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Hjalmar Peterson, son Stephan Skinner, daughter Carol Gibson, and brothers Bus and William. Left to mourn her loss are her sons Bill, Wayne and Jim, brother Jim (Bernice), as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who loved her with all their hearts. She loved us all. Lorraine was very well known for reading tarot cards and was reading until her passing. She was very social and loved having her family and friends around her. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of Lorraine's special friends who visited with her and cared for her. They would like to thank Providence Place for all the love and special care they gave to her until her passing. Thank you to the ambulance drivers, Lorraine's doctors and the staff in the Emergency department as well. Memorial donations to the MS Society of Canada, 150 Albert St., Regina, SK, S4R 2N2, would be appreciated. At Lorraine's request there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held in her honour.
