It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Norma Victoria Morrison, at the age of 78 yrs. Norma passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, at the QE2 Hospital, Halifax with her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (McLeod) Bryden.
In her earlier years Norma worked for T.H. Best Printing in Ontario. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay. Norma enjoyed reading, playing bingo and also spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, John "Sonny" (Mary Jean), Barrie Ont. Alan, Halifax, Stephen (Jean), Halifax/ Glace Bay; sister, Elizabeth Deboer, Grande Cache, Alberta; also by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Norma was also predeceased by her, husband, Leo Vincent Morrison; son, Basil; and several brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal service will take place on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
