Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on April 22, 2011, Silas Baker, age 51 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn: his loving wife, Wanda; daughters, Caitlyn (Dylan) and Brandy; sons, Danny and Carr; sisters, Bessie (Ambrose), Barbara (Gerald), Claudia (James) and Mary (Joseph); brothers, Linus (Patricia), Edward (Doris), Joe (Judy) all at Harbour Breton, Norman at Nova Scotia, John, Vincent (Jr.), Dan and James Will at Harbour Breton; sister in law, Barbara, at Nova Scotia; his very special friend, George Cox; members of the Pierce Family plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, Vincent and Julia Baker; brother, Peter; sister (Jane Snook)(Stewart); sister in law, Mahala Baker; mother and father in law, Norman and Rosalie Pierce. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 am from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Harbour Breton with Father Justin officiating. Interment followed at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Cemetery in Harbour Breton.
