Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre, Nov 7, 2017 at age 89. Predeceased by his loving wife Alfreda (2013) and daughter Barbara (2010), Wallace's partner Denise Brake, sisters: Rose, Lottie and Doris. Brothers: Albert, Reg, Max, and Harold. Leaving to mourn daughters: Beverly Butt (Derek), Pamela Allston (Peter), Sandra Dyke (Jim); sons Wallace, David (Dana ); granddaughters: Karen Waterman (Gord), Julie Hammond; grandsons: Craig Butt (Erin Mercer), Thomas Allston, Michael Allston (Mindi Hasselman), Andrew Dyke, Christopher Dyke, great-grandson Liam Waterman, sisters: Carrie Pynn, Jessie Squires, brother: Eric (Ruby ), sister-in-law, Irene, as well as other relatives and friends. Dick enjoyed music and was a member of the CLB Band for 62 years. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit for their thoughtfulness and care in his last week and Cambridge Estates for their excellent care during the past 13 months. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, Nov. 9, 2017, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at 2 pm with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Church Lads' Brigade Regimental Band (CLB) or Charity of one's choice.
