The death occurred peacefully and with her family by her side, at the Riverview Manor in Montague on November 15, 2017, of Margaret Hilda MacKinnon aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the Late Frank MacKinnon and loving mother of Kevin MacKinnon (Valerie Laybolt) of Charlottetown, Marlene MacCormac of Souris, Mary Norma Wright (Doug) of N.B., Donna McCarthy (Ray Blundell) of Morell, and Michael MacKinnon (Judy) of AB. Grandmother of Earl MacCormac (Clara), Patrick Joseph MacCormac, Julie Wright, Calien McCarthy (Michelle Colbert), Logan McCarthy, Megan Hill (Jareth) and Joshua MacKinnon as well as great grandmother to Jesse and Kaylie MacCormac. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Johnston, and Eileen MacPhee, and brothers-in-law, Warren MacKinnon and Allan MacKinnon (Mabel), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Frank, she was predeceased by her children Catherine MacKinnon, Sandra Laybolt (John), and Francis MacKinnon; her parents, Arthur and Matilda Eldershaw; her brothers, Wilfred, Harry, Reginald, Cecil, James, Charlie, and Ralph Eldershaw; and by her sister, Mary Forrester. Resting at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, for visitation on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held at the church on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory may be made if desired to the Alzheimer's Society of PEI. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
