Born October 27, 1929 in Sydney NS, he was predeceased by his parents, James and Priscilla and son Randy. He had a love for dogs and cats, watching most sports particularly curling and his beloved Toronto Blue Jays and was a member of the Truro Lions Club. Earl was an avid bowler in his earlier years and it was fitting in the final days of his life that he bowled with his twin sister and lifelong best friend, Peggy at Vimy Court where he spent his final days a few doors down from her. Earl is survived by his wife of 40 years, Muriel MacPhail (nee Langille); twin sister, Marguerite (Peggy) White; son. Brian Fowlie, wife Tara, and grandsons Logan and Jackson of Calgary AB; daughter, Carol Ann, and son, Jim. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro from where a time of reception and visitation will be held on Monday, December 4 from 1-3pm.
