Mr. Edwin (Eddie) Drover of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Mr. Drover was 89 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family; children: Moses (Shelley) Drover, Jean (Garfield) Higgins and Chesley (Marie) Drover; grandchildren: Lori (Kevin), Scott, Aaron (Marlena and Gracie), Ryan (Lindsey) and Sarah (Andrew); great-grandchildren: Hannah, Matthew, Zachary, Kailyn, Leah, Jade, Rachel and Amelia; sister, Sybil Mercer, and a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by wife, Rachel Drover; parents: Moses and Leah Drover; siblings: George (Jessie) Drover, William (Beatrice) Drover, Thomas (Ella) Drover, Maxwell (Marion) Drover, Chesley (Annie) Drover, Minie (Ron) Osbourne, Susie (Walter) Smith and Louise Drover; brother-in-law: Roy Mercer. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, December 8, 2017 from St. Peter's Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE, on Wednesday: 2-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M., Thursday: 10:30 A.M. - 12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. and Friday: 10:30 A.M. - 1:15 P.M.
