Peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, the passing of Lenie Hakkers (nee Bos), age 61, beloved wife of 42 years to Peter Hakkers occurred on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 with her family by her side. Born in Alblasserdam, Holland, March 1, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Teunis and Jannie (Bezemer) Bos. Lenie is survived by her loving children Femke (Ajoy), Martien (Rhonda-Lee), and Ties (Shauna-Lee); and her 4 cherished grandchildren, Maya, Alice, Marty and Brady. By personal request there will be no visiting or service. A Celebration of Life will held with family and close friends. Donations may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
