BOLLMAN - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vicki Mae Bollman at age 53 on April 29, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Vicki was born on July 11, 1957 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She will be dearly missed by her mother, Florence Bollman of Swift Current, SK, brother Dennis (Bev) Bollman of Antelope Lake, Sk. and their children Angela, Melinda, Jonathon and Anthony, brother George (Merline) Bollman of Succex, NB and their children Scott, Micheal and Loresha, sister Fern (Mathew) McNaughton of Calgary, AB and their son Kevin and sister Connie (Wayne) Sorenson of Webb, SK and their children Jaime, Tammy and Tyler and numerous great nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Vicki graduated grade 12 in Gull Lake, SK in 1975. She then took one year of Education in Saskatoon, worked for the Homemakers Service Bureau in Saskatoon for 2 1/2 years and then went to BC to take a doggrooming course. This led her to Edmonton as she said "Dog Show Capital of Canada". She managed a shop where she worked until she started her own business. She was the owner of Vicki's Grooming and Training Ltd. Her working life was a combination of dog grooming, dog trainer, breeding dobermans, teacher and advisor to dog owners. Vicki has always had more than one dog. Her breeding pedigree of Dobermans is extensive and the Alevique line is very well known throughout the doberman world - even overseas. She was always getting calls for advice from dog owners. Her laughter, sense of humour, generosity, loyal friendship, courage and love of animals will be sadly missed by family and friends. A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at the Evergreen Funeral Reception Centre, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton on May 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Her ashes will be brought home to Antelope Lake, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers and for those who so desire, memorial donations can be made to “Unit 43, Grey Nuns” Communtiy Hospital, 1100 Youville Drive, Edmonton AB. T6L 5X8.
