Anne G. Firlotte, 88, of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Hillside Drive, Sunny Brae, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Born in Caledonia, Queen’s Co., NS, she was the daughter of the late Gerton and Zillah (Smith) Carver. Anne was a former employee of Barron’s Store and retired from Fine’s Clothing Store as Credit Manager. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church and the CWL within the church. Anne was a member of St. Patrick’s Family Centre, TOPS Club and enjoyed walking and yoga. She was an excellent baker. Anne will be sadly missed by her daughter, Cheryl Slater (Alan) of Moncton; son, Bryce Firlotte (Wendy) of Geary; grandchildren, Christopher Slater, Cara Slater (Mathieu LeBlanc), Patrick Firlotte and Kathleen Firlotte; sister, Muriel Canning of Caledonia, NS; sister-in-law, Doris Carver as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband, Stephen “Eugene” Firlotte (1987); sisters, Melda DeMings, Dorothy Ringham and infant sister, Helen Rose; brothers, Allan Jr., Byron, Ormand and Ralph. Visitation was at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass to celebrate and honour Anne’s life was held at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church (Botsford and Queen Streets) on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Charles Broderick presiding. Reception in the Church Hall following Mass. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Caledonia, NS.
