It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Charlie Roberts Jr. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Charles and Carmella (Poirier) Roberts.
He was a member St. Anthony’s Church, Glace Bay. In his younger years, he enjoyed sports playing hockey and baseball. Charlie was a fan of Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Yankees.
Charlie is survived by his siblings, Carol (Bill) Jessome, Toronto, Bernice (Wayne) Eagles, Glace Bay, Valerie (Gary ‘Doc’) Strong, Glace Bay, Mary Roberts (Joe), Sydney, Rosemarie Roberts, Glace Bay, Stan, Toronto, Gerard, Glace Bay and John; many nieces and nephews; his friends from Valleyview Complex, as well as his good friend, Butch.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marilyn, Frances, Lorraine, Michael, Emery ‘Bumper’ Douglas and Daniel, and two siblings in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service.
