It is with heavy hearts, we, the family of Florence M. Gracie, announce her passing away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Earl and Liz McNeil.
Her favourite job and hobby was being a stay at home mom to her five beautiful children and wife to the love of her life.
Florence is survived by the love of her life, husband, Billy Gracie; daughters, Belinda Gracie, Kelly (Allan) Gracie Hillier and Melissa Burta; sons, Earl (Tanya) Gracie and Billie (Melissa) Gracie; sister, Suzanne Gracie; brother, Eugene (Shirleon) Burta; grandchildren, Blayne, Kyle and Jamie, Keigan, Nicholas, Vicki, Nadara, Liam, Chris, Brett and Colby; great grandchildren, Kalli and Tallia, and many special nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Dot, and daughter, Rose Marie.
Cremation has taken place, visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a celebration of Florence’s life at 3 p.m. all in the Tracey Family Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, 902-849-4199. Fr. Patrick O’Neil will be officiating.

A huge thank you to her special cousin Thelma Burta and to our extended family of Angels the nurses of 3 West and Dr. Stephanie Elleker and many more for all of the love and support they have given to us and the amazing love and care given to our mother, we could never thank you enough.
