Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Cornwall Hospice on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 71. Loving brother of Mary Catherine (the late Archie McBean), Florence (George McBean), and R.D. (Mary). Predeceased by his parents John Chisholm and Marguerite McDonell, as well as his sister Sheila (Sandy Rourke). Alan will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2-5 pm and on Monday from 9 am -10 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:30 am. As expressions of sympathy donations to Cornwall Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Alan a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
