85, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully May 3, 2011, in Ivy Meadows Nursing Home, Beaver Bank.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Collins) Costello.
Leaving to mourn her is her loving husband of over 50 years, Byrce; son, Wayne (Sharon) of St. John’s, NL; daughters, Heather (Ron) Northrup of New Market, Ontario; Kathy Hebb-Derayeh, of Burlington, Ontario; Brenda (Jeff) Carr of Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Chris and Geoff Hebb, Brock and Devon Northrup, Andrew Derayeh, Bryce and Joey Carr. Survived by brothers, Lou, Frank, Jack. Predeceased by sisters, Theresa, Helen, Muriel and Ruby; brother, Maurice.
Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. John Vianney RC Church, Lower Sackville. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville.
