The death occurred at Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 of J. Sidney Hardy of Union, aged 92, husband of the late Eleanor (nee Campbell). Born in Huntley on July 26, 1925, son of the late John Allen and Mabel (Hamill) Hardy. Cherished father to John (Louise), Kingston; Susan Hardy, Cornwall; Jane (Marvin) Blanchard, Union; Bill (Bev), Kensington; Betty Hardy, Union; Andrew (Minerva), Chelton ; Glen (Lisa) Brampton, ON; Rhonda (Lowell) Seaman, Fall River, N.S. Loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Dear brother in law to Jean Johnston, Stella Campbell, Erskine (Goldie) MacMillan, Bessie Horne and Chris Hardy. Sidney was predeceased by his parents, wife Eleanor, son Richard, sister Ruth Millman, brother Byron Hardy and granddaughter Sidney. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral home and Chapel, O`Leary with visiting hours, Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral on Friday at the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. In memory of Sidney, memorials to Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene Cemetery fund would be appreciated.
