The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, of Zeta Peters (nee Gallant), of Villa Marguerite and formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 82. She was the wife of the late Arthur Peters. Zeta was the mother of Barry (Marsha) of Campbell River B.C.; Edwin (Anne) and Keith (Doloris) of Oyster Bed Bridge; Allan (Melinda) of Rustico; Patrick (Linda) of Calgary; and Michael of Oyster Bed Bridge; and beloved grandmother of James, Sarah, Jeffrey, Isaac, Julia and Ben. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene Gallant of Charlottetown; and sisters, Rita Blanchard of St. John, New Brunswick and Eleanor Desveaux of Montreal, Quebec. Zeta will also be lovingly remembered by numerous brothers and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Arthur, she was predeceased by her parents Vital and Angelina (Gallant) Gallant; sisters, Lorette Quinn, Melina Daley and Yvonne Gallant; and brothers, Allan and Louis Gallant. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home prior to the evening visitation at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
