Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Edward Dawe, veteran of the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit, age 91 years. Predeceased by his wife Lillian, brothers: Michael, Kevin, Cyril, John and sister Alice Dawe. Left with fond and loving memories sons: Peter (Mary Jo), Randy (Linda), Kenneth (Marian) and daughter Michelle (Mike Hall); grandchildren: Carole Leah, TJ, Michael, Nancy, Mark, Angela, Louise, Tony, Margot, Zachary, Sarah and three great-grandchildren: Sophie, Owen and Emily. Also leaving to mourn brothers: Patrick and Joseph; sisters: Theresa Morey and Helen Hickey; brothers-in-law: Randolph (Piney), Allan (Joyce), Harold (Maxine) and Mark (Patsy) Small; sisters-in-law: Mabel (Paul) Rice, Ruby Hamlyn, Elvie Small and Mary Dawe; as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday, May 4th, and Thursday, May 5th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, May 6th at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation.
