BARRETT, CORA - Cora Evelyn Barrett of Woodstock, NB passed away at her home in Woodstock on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the age of 79. Cora is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Terry) Smith of Wolfville, NS; Catherine (Al) Shingler of Bedell, NB, and two sons, Bill Barrett (Jocelyn) of Upper Waterville, NB and Ed Barrett (Melissa) of Woodstock, NB; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Georgia Savage of Fredericton, NB, Donna O'Neil of Plaster Rock, NB, Ruth Albright (Bud) of Scarborough, ON, Vienna Hall (Edward) of Woodstock, NB, Rose Marie Rich (Dr. Harry Rich) of Moncton, NB, and Marilyn Dryden of Buctouche, NB; one brother, Herb Moorcroft (Muriel) of Gander, NL. Cora is pre-deceased by her birth parents Ernest and Glendora Cole; her adopted parents Whitney and Ann Mooncroft; three sisters, Iris Boyd, Hazel Mogard, and Glenna Mazerolle; three brothers, James Cole, Emelus Cole, and Leon Cole.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Friday, May 6th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm from the Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating, with interment in the Upper Waterville Cemetery.
