Traverse, Wayne James Raymond, 58, Truro, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at home. Born in Placentia Bay, NF, he was a son of the late Leo and Sara (Duke) Traverse. Wayne formerly worked for Batten Field Oil in Ontario.
He is survived by his daughters Sarah (Tyler) of North River, Kathleen of Truro; son Robert (Arielle) of Truro; grandchildren Parker, Bronwyn, Suzie, Lydia; sisters Mary McNutt (John) of Truro, Debbie Dollmont (Jack) of Truro, Maggie Traverse of Truro, Juanita Weir (Peter) of Truro; brothers Bill (Dianne) of Hilden, Clifford (Shelly) of Dartmouth, Gary (Jennifer ) and Randy (Tina) both of Newfoundland; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4th from 12 noon until funeral service at 2 pm. Father Dariusz Miskowicz will officiate with burial at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Truro Homeless Outreach Society.
