It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Joyce Marilyn Kettle announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 27th at the age of 66 years. Born in Rose Blanche, NL, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Freeman and Mary Mauger (nee Pooley). She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Russell and Annie Kettle, brother-in-law Alvin Kettle, sisters-in-law Annette Kettle and Diane Kettle. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband Cyril of 46 years, son Dwight (Charlene) Kettle, grandchildren Kaitlyn and Natalie all of Port aux Basques, NL, brother Arthur (Pat) Mauger of McDougalls, NL, brothers and sisters-in-law John (Linda) Kettle of Doyles, NL, Wayne Kettle of Calgary, AB, Gary (Roslyn) Kettle of Cape Ray, NL, Nancy (Jack) Hexspoor of Calgary, AB, Derek (Madonna) Kettle of Tompkins, NL, Sylvia (Lionel) Pearce of Port aux Basques, NL, Suzanne (Bill) White of Grande Prairie, AB, Terry (Corina) Kettle and Arlene (Tony) Osmond all of Port aux Basques, NL, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as her Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group. The family received friends and family on Thursday, December 28th from 7-9 pm and Friday, December 29th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service was held on Saturday, December 30th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with internment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
