Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by his daughters, Michael Walsh, age 85, on January 2, 2018. Predeceased by his wife, Josephine (2001), father and mother Thomas and Margaret, sisters Gertie (Cyril) and Nellie (Frank). Also predeceased by father and mother-in-law Gordon and Alice Boland and brother-in-law Donald Boland. Leaving to mourn his daughters Michelle (Mike) Chaisson, Alicia (Robert ) Hayden, and Tracy (Robbie) Costello. Grandchildren; Andrew, Jeremy, Michael, Warren and Thomas. Special sister Aggie and brother-in-law Phonse Kavanagh and family. Also, sisters and brothers-in-law: Marg (John) Murphy, Mill (Bert) Stockley, Mereda (Jim) Martin, Bill (Colleen) Boland, and Ken Boland. Also mourning his death are his many nephews and nieces who have always been there for him no matter what he needed. He will be missed by his buddies at the stable. Also, Georgina Walsh, who always saw to him and made sure his plate was full. Special thanks to Dr. Jacqueline Costello, and staff at the Ambulatory Treatment Unit: Dr. Peter Morry and staff; Dr. Heneghan and staff on 5 East, St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital; Dr. Morkar, Dr. Uddechukwu, Yvette and staff on 4 West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Resting at Fahey’ Funeral Home Fermeuse on Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January 5th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral mass to take place on Saturday, January 6th, at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Holy Family Parish.
