John Joseph Boyle
Surrounded by the love of his family, John Joseph Boyle passed away at the age of 64 on January 8, 2018. John was a wonderful husband to Juanita – the love of his life – and an amazing Dad to his two boys, Jacob and Joel. His brave fight for life, his sense of humour, and the true goodness in his soul were evident until the end.
In addition to his wife and sons, he will be sadly missed by his mother, Doris, his brothers, Michael (Glenda), Willie (Ruth), his sister, Marcella Andres (Blair), his sister in-law Sue Hunter (Ross), mother-in-law Josie Stevens, and all his special nieces and nephews. John will also be missed by his dear friends.
John worked as a CPA for the County of Cumberland. He spent his days balancing accounts; however, his home life and family were what was the most important to him. He enjoyed his bowling leagues and teaching Sunday school, as well as the many activities his children took part in over the years.
John was predeceased by his father, Ambrose, and father in-law, Philip Stevens, who were waiting with open arms to greet him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., (902-667-8777) where visitation will take place on Thursday, January 11 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral mass for John will take place at Holy Family Parish, Amherst on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11 am.
A special thank you to all of our family, friends, and the community for the support we received on John’s journey. Our gratitude is also extended to Dr. McCrossin, Dr. Harb, VON and the palliative care team at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
