The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Friday, January 12, 2018, with her loving family by her side, of Anna Myrtle Smith, of Alberton, age 77 years. Beloved wife of Francis S. Smith. Born January 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy (nee Barnett) Adams. Loving mother of Darlene (Edward) Cahill of Alberton, Dale (Anita) Smith of Alberta, Dawn (Elmer) Rennie of Elmsdale, Dwayne (Silvia) Smith of Alberton, and Deanna (Floyd) McCue of Tignish. Loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Gordon (Lynn) Adams of Alberton, and Russell Adams of Elmsdale. Predeceased by a granddaughter, Mandy Lynn Rayner, and siblings, Carl, William and Lloydia Wedlock. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery.
